MedVance Alginate dressing is made of calcium alginate rich in fast gelling mannuronic acid. The non-woven flat pad format manages exuding wounds and the rope serves as packing for cavities and indurations. On contact with wound exudate the dressing converts to a soft, hydrophilic gel which conforms to the contours of the wound and provides a moist wound healing environment. Non-woven reinforcing technology enhances wet and dry strength, facilitating application and removal while minimizing the likelihood of leaving residue behind.
